Accreditations

Accreditation is a detailed comparison of an organization's services and method of operation against a set of national standards. Accreditation Canada (formally known as The Canadian Council on Health Services Accreditation (CCHSA)), provides an opportunity for Sensenbrenner Hospital to audit the hospital's continuous quality improvement initiatives (CQI) against Accreditation Canada benchmarks and develop organizational plans in support of these quality services.
In 2011 Sensenbrenner Hospital received a three year accreditation. The following are the plans and/or policies:
* Strategic Plan
* Quality Improvement & Risk Management Plan
* Ethics Plan
* Information Management Plan
* Communication Plan
* Disaster and Emergency Plan
* Staff Satisfaction Survey
* Patient/Client Satisfaction Survey
* Human Resources Plan
* Educational Needs Assessment Plan
* Patient Safety Plan
Our strategy to monitor our continuous quality improvement in all departments on a monthly basis ensures that we are making changes and setting new benchmarks based on our CQI initiatives.
The next Accreditation Self Assessment will be taking place during the 2011-2014 planning year and our goal is to continue to strive to meet or exceed the Accreditation Canada guidelines.
