Emergency Department

The Emergency Department provides services twenty-four (24) hours a day with clinically advanced and prepared Registered Nurses, certified in added nursing skills and delegated controlled acts.

Medical Staff provide on-call services, 24 hours a day to all patients/clients presenting, unscheduled, to the Emergency Room. Internal and external consultation services are maintained and available for use.

The Emergency Room provides medical and nursing care to patients/clients presenting for pre-scheduled minor surgery or medical procedures (i.e. excision of lesions, chemotherapy, cryotherapy), emergency care of life threatening conditions requiring advanced, invasive intervention (i.e. thrombolytic therapy), and specialty care services.

The Emergency Room provides community-based outpatient oncology services and is affiliated with the Regional Cancer Program of Sudbury Regional Hospital.
