MISSION STATEMENT

The Food Services Department strives to provide appropriate nutritional support to hospital patients/clients, nutritionally adequate meals to staff and visitors, and necessary nutritional assessment and diet counseling services in a cost efficient fashion.

SERVICES PROVIDED

The department consists of the Manager, the Clinical Dietitian and three part-time supervisors (CFSSA members).

The Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation and administration of the department including food production and clinical nutrition services.

The Clinical Dietitian provides nutritional care to inpatients and outpatients. She visits patients/clients receiving therapeutic diets, provides nutritional counseling, and coordinates the diabetic teaching patients/clinics.

HOURS OF OPERATION

Food Production - 06:00 to 19:00
Clinical Nutrition - 08:00 to 16:00, 3 days a week
(outpatient diet counseling by appointment only)
Cafeteria Hours - 09:00 to 10:30 (coffee break Monday to Friday)
11:30 to 13:00 (lunch Monday to Friday)
- Closed Saturday and Sunday
