Special Care Unit

The Special Care Unit is a three (3) bed nursing unit that provides medical and nursing care to individuals acutely compromised. Advanced clinically prepared staff are able to provide short term invasive care to individuals requiring hemodynamic and cardiac monitoring, short term mechanical ventilation, and other related patient/client care activities.

Services of community based agencies/organizations are utilized as required.

The Special Care Unit provides for the initial management of all potentially and acutely compromised individuals requiring short term invasive, non-invasive monitoring and nursing intensive and intervention in a critical care setting.

Clinically advanced and prepared staff are able to function at a level consistent with services offered and standards of patient/client care provided.

The Special Care Unit is a specialized unit designed to care for critically ill or injured patients whose conditions are life threatening and who require critical care and constant monitoring.

Medical and nursing staff provide evidence based specialized care to primarily adult patients through state-of-the-art monitoring systems, critical care technology, and professional expertise. We have a highly skilled interdisciplinary team that provides continuous, individualized patient and family care.
