Occupational Therapy (OT) promotes wellness and independence in all areas of self-care, work and leisure.

Our Occupational Therapy services focuses on the client's physical, cognitive, and emotional strengths and barriers to participate in their everyday activities.

All Occupational Therapist at Sensenbrenner Hospital are licensed by the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
Our Services
In-patients
Our Occupational Therapist meets with clients while still in hospital to assess their personal care needs, provide treatment and develop a discharge plan. Our Occupational Therapist will coordinate with the funding provider to acquire necessary supports and equipment upon discharge.

Outpatients

Hand and upper extremity rehabilitation

Musculoskeletal and neurological conditions

Cognitive assessment

Wheelchair and walker assessments

Splinting of the hand, wrist and elbow

Therapy for tendonitis, tendon injuries, fractures of the hand, wrist and elbow. carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, tennis elbow, cumulative trauma and post-op.

Direct billing to WSIB and automobile insurance

1-on-1 treatment

Assessment and treatment may include symptom management for physical, cognitive and psychological injuries. Treatment may be provided by an Occupational Therapy Assistant. The goal is the safe resumption of pre-injury activities with proper aids/devices and education.
